Gayle Homes Martin became an author in 2005 when she published her first book, Anna’s Kitchen: a Compilation of Historic WWII Recipes You Can Create in Your Kitchen Today.
Anna’s Kitchen was followed by the award-winning Luke and Jenny series of historical novels for young readers. Originally published by Five Star Publications, Inc., the first book in the series, Gunfight at the O.K. Corral was released in 2006 and was an Honorable Mention at the 2007 Hollywood Book Festival.
The second book, Billy the Kid and the Lincoln County War, was published in 2007, and was a Finalist in the Indie Books of Excellence Awards. The third and final installment, Riding with the James Gang, was released in 2010.
In 2011, Gayle founded her own publishing company, Good Oak Press, LLC., and she began writing adult romance novels as Marina Martindale.
in 2016 Gayle released an updated version of, Anna's Kitchen, titled, Rosie's Riveting Recipes. It includes additional WW2 ration recipes and more stories of life on the American home front.
When Gayle isn't writing, she enjoys music, photography and traveling.
